Labor and domestic violence: an investigation from victim support groups on Facebook

Abstract Statistics reveal a correlation between being woman and victim of violence. Domestic violence is one example, its aggravating factor that it perpetrated by men who have an affectionate relationship with the considered restricted to private sphere. In addition, research shows working women are more likely be victimized than those do not job. Therefore, this study analyzes adversities face in situations domestic violence, especially related their conditions work relationships. A qualitative methodology was used through semi-structured interviews. The interviewees’ reports revealed disorders caused both evident (loss labor performance opportunities for professional advancement, need absent, illness, etc.) less apparent (externalized from feeling loss). We also show they consider as belonging support network capable helping them free themselves
